Terms and Conditions for Remittance Service

Please read all the terms and conditions carefully. By use of the remittance service provided by Global Remittances Company Limited (GRC), the customer agrees to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Remittance Service

1.1 Any first-time customer who intends to use the remittance service of GRC is required to fill in and complete a registration form at service counters of GRC beforehand, accompanied by the related original identity documents for verification purpose. Each customer will be assigned a unique CIF number for conducting remittance transactions.

1.2 It is the customer's responsibility to notify GRC of any changes or updates to the information provided to GRC through the first-time registration mentioned above, and provide any supporting documents for such changes.

1.3 The payment of the remitted funds to the receiver shall be made in local currency of the specified destination country, with possible deduction of charges of paying agent(s) if any.

1.4 The customer shall pay GRC a fee for conducting every remittance transaction. The fees and daily foreign exchange rates will be displayed at the service counters of GRC or website.

1.5 GRC reserves the right to require any additional information for effecting the remittance transactions.

1.6 GRC shall not be liable for any delay in the delivery or transfer of the remitted funds to the receiver due to omissions, incorrect information, force majeure, or any events occurring beyond the control of GRC. In the event that GRC cannot deliver, transfer or process the remittance due to the aforesaid circumstances, and customer requests for cancellation of the remittance, GRC will only refund the remitted amount net of any charges if applicable.

1.7 Any taxes, charges or duties levied by local or overseas authorities for the remittance transactions shall be charged to the customer by deducting from the proceeds of the remittances.

1.8 The terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed with the laws of Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR) and the customer submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of MSAR.

2. Personal Data

2.1 The personal data of the customer is provided voluntarily by the customer. If the customer fails to give all the required information, remittance transactions cannot be effected by GRC.

2.2 Insofar as necessary for the relevant purposes, the personal data shall be communicated to auditors, subsidiaries, affiliates and remittance servicer partners of GRC, law enforcement agencies, authorities, regulators, and any other entity or subject which is required by local or overseas laws and regulations.

2.3 The customer is entitled to exercise any of the rights provided by the Personal Data Protection Act of MSAR.

2.4 The customer agrees that GRC may inform the customer about its marketing information, promotional offers, advertisements, and surveys by means of telephones calls, text messages, email, post or social media. Otherwise, a communication to GRC in writing is necessary, if customer does not wish to receive such marketing information.

3. Complaint Handling

The customer may contact GRC's customer service at (853) 28880001 or email to [email protected] for any service comments, concerns, queries or suggestions. Please note that phone calls to the customer service may be recorded for service quality control purpose, and the customer agrees hereby the recording of any calls that he/she may makes to the customer service..

4. Additional Information

GRC reserves the right to reject any remittance transactions subject to financial sanctions, legal restrictions or without complete information. GRC shall also request for any additional information from the customer in compliance with the legal requirements, particularly for Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Financing of Terrorism compliance.

5. Miscellaneous

GRC reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time and without any prior notice. Any amendment to these terms and conditions shall take effect and be binding on the customer immediately upon: a) notice to the customer; or b) being posted on GRC's website and made available at the service counters of GRC. The amendments referred herein shall be accepted by the customer if no written objection is received within 7 days after the aforesaid notice or publication.
